DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome! \nSyrian Refugee Presentation on Thursday\, January 19\, 7:30 pm \nAs many of you know\, the ongoing war in Syria is destroying lives and families and shows little hope of ending in the near future. \nRefugees from all walks of life have had to escape this conflict\, often with little but the clothes on their backs.\nAnoush Newman\, a Syrian herself\, now works for the Canadian Catholic Immigration Services which is an organization tasked with resettling refugees in Calgary. \nPlease join us for this special presentation and hear about the amazing history of Syria\, plus the innumerable challenges resettlement poses for the arriving refugees and what Canada and Calgarians are doing to assist in the whole process. \n
