DESCRIPTION:Higan means ‘reaching the other shore of (awakening)’. It is a service of reflection and renewal. \nTraditionally held on or near the equinox when day and night are of approximately equal duration all over the planet. \nAll of our services are open to everyone and no prior knowledge or experience with Buddhism is necessary. \nThe services are conducted in English with the exception of some chanting. \nService books are provided so that everyone can participate in these traditional\, centuries old chants. \n
