Sangha Engagement
The Calgary Buddhist Temple Sangha Engagement is actively involved in hosting workshops, presentations, and events to promote social interaction, learning, and sharing. “Sangha Engagement” is pleased to provide a variety of in-person activities with the intention to keep people engaged and build a sense of “community” or Sangha.

Community Outreach – Feels good to do good! Will need 9 volunteers to help provide lunch service so please join us – volunteers 18 years of age or older. We leave from the temple after service, around 11:15am, to walk over to the Drop-In Centre together, or meet us there at 11:30am. |
JAPANESE WIND CHIME |

Pick a day or come both days to paint your own unique glass wind chime using shared POSCA markers. You don’t have to be an artist to have fun and create something special. Enjoy creating a wind chime which is a popular activity in Japan during this time of year. $12/wind chime (registration required) |
OBON ODORI PRACTICES |

Join the Sangha and participate in the custom of honoring our ancestors by learning/practicing Bon Odori (Japanese folk dancing) which involves repetitive movements that are easy and simple for everyone to follow. Odori is part of Obon on July 27! |
