A more sustainable (and beautiful) way to wrap! The Calgary Buddhist Temple Sangha Engagement is pleased to organize this in-person workshop on Sunday, Jan 29/23 at 1pm which will be held at the Temple and will be taught by a local business, Nanao Kimono (www.nanaokimono.com).
Sunday, December 18 from 1:30-4:30pm at the Temple. The price is $75 and includes flowers and materials. Students must bring their own container and scissors.

An opportunity to gather together for meditation and reflection at the Temple in the Hondo (main hall) from 7:00 to 8:00 pm every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of a month. Doors will open to the temple at 6:40 pm (20 minutes early).

The Annual Chow Mein & Ribs Dinner is back after a two year hiatus. This year’s fund-raising event will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 3:00 to 6:00PM at the termple (658 – 1st Ave NE). Please note that there is no dine-in option

Classes will be held on Sunday afternoons at the Calgary Buddhist Temple from 1:30pm – 4:00pm
The 5 classes are a series and the cost is $225 total including flower material and instruction for
Obon (お盆) or just Bon (盆) is a special time to honor and remember one’s ancestors including visiting their gravesites during the Obon season. The following is the Calgary Buddhist Temple schedule:

Beginning in April, please join us on Saturday, April 9th and 30th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, for a 90 minute session:
20 minute Meditation
10 minute Chanting
55 minutes for Buddhist discussion
