We gather downstairs and, following the tradition, slurp up noodles for a snack because as everyone knows, long noodles mean long life!
Kids will have a chance to pin the nenju on the Buddha this year!

A film about Vietnamese Mindfulness Teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.
Shown in Partnership with the Wild Rose Sangha, a Sangha in the Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.

Meditation Service at the Calgary Buddhist Temple is set to commence starting on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 7 to 8 pm. No experience required and everyone is welcome.

We begin with an old Japanese tradition, a dish of noodles. Long noodles are thought to bring us long life so the longer your noodles the better!
