Gyoza Making On Saturday, Sept 19 at the Temple – pics!

On Saturday, 19 of us got together to make gyozas.

In just three hours we chopped, mixed, and folded 1008 gyozas (84 dozen)!

We will be selling them at the Chow Mein supper on Saturday, October 22, which is taking place at the temple.

With so many volunteers, not only did we get it done fast, we all had fun visiting with each other.

I made some as soon as I got home and got rave reviews from my family.

Temple Gyoza Making – Saturday Sept 17th 9am at the Temple

One of the ways you can join the Temple community is by getting to know people in small groups like this with a short timeframe of participation (everyone has busy lives!).

 

Hello Calgary Buddhist Temple friends,

We hope you all had a wonderful summer!

As you may know, the Temple is organizing a fundraising dinner in October and the menu includes homemade gyoza. We would like to ask some volunteers to help us make the gyozas on Saturday, September 17th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

New Capital Campaign Brochure and Pledge form – Fall 2016

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the CBT Capital Campaign. Since the spring of 2014, we have raised over $800,000 of or $1,000,000 goal through pledges, donations and fundraising activities. We are still actively fundraising to pay off the remaining portion of our debt and have events planned for the fall. We have also put together an updated Capital Campaign brochure which is available for download both here and as a printed brochure at the temple. Thank you once again for your continued support.

Temple closed for a few weeks in August, then OBON

Please note that the Temple is CLOSED for a few weeks in August!

No Sunday Services on August 14th and 21st. and no Thursday Services during that time.

 

Then one of our largest Services if the year – OBON, with guest speaker Rev Christina Yanko from Toronto Buddhist Temple and originally from Alberta.

 

The Temple Service will be at 3pm on August 28th.
