All of our services are open to everyone and no prior knowledge or experience with Buddhism is necessary. The services are conducted in English with the exception of some chanting. Service books are provided so that everyone can participate in these traditional, centuries old chants.

Keirokai is a yearly event honouring our members who are ‘Keiro’, that is, our senior, experienced Sangha members. Gotan-ye is the celebration of birth of Shinran Shonin, the founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism. Shinran Shonin was born on May 21, 1173. Gotan means birth and Ye means gathering.

Meditation Service will be Wednesday nights from 7 – 8 pm. There will be 30 minutes of quiet meditation followed by a mantra meditation, and concluding with a short chant. Everyone is welcome and no prior meditation experience is required.
