Gotan-ye Service – Cancelled due to COVID

Gotan-ye is the celebration of birth of Shinran Shonin, the founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism. Shinran Shonin was born on May 21, 1173. Gotan means birth and Ye means gathering.
All of our services are open to everyone and no prior knowledge or experience with Buddhism is necessary.
The services are conducted in English except for some chanting.
Service books are provided so that everyone can participate in these traditional, centuries old chants.
