Just a reminder that our temple will be hosting a special joint Vesak service this Saturday, May 15 beginning at 2:00 pm.
Vesak is a celebration of the Buddha’s birth, awakening and death that some of the schools combine in one single service
Each year we have a special Service to honour our Seniors, the pioneers who started and continue to support our Temple, the Temples of Canada, Jodo Shinshu worldwide, and Buddhism.
It is called Keirokai and this year will take place on Sunday, May 29th.
You are invited to attend and learn basic Buddhist meditation practices through May and early June.
No experience needed. Some discussion, some practicing, easy to learn.
Based on the Buddha’s teaching of the Full Awareness of Breathing.
Cost is free, dress is respectful casual.
Our Annual celebration of the Buddha’s Birthday, with bathing the Buddha, lunch after (everyone welcome even if you don’t bring – there is always lots). We try to make this a joyful occasion! Bring your own good humour and feelings and help out!

His family was by his side and he passed away peacefully
