Remember that there is NO Sunday morning service or morning meditation this weekend.

- Saturday, July 27 – Mountain View 9:00am; Strathmore 10:30am; Nokotsudo/Columbarium 12:15pm
- Sunday, July 28 – Eden Brook 11:00am; Queens Park 1:00pm
We hope you can join us on Sunday, July 28, 2024 for the afternoon 3:00 pm service. This Sunday is the Obon Service which is conducted to honor our ancestors for all they have done to allow us to be here today.
The Temple is open to in-person attendance and continues with Live Streaming for Sunday services.

Obon Schedule (join us!)
The Calgary Obon Service will be held at the Temple on Sunday, July 28 at 3:00pm. Obon is dedicated to remembering and honoring those who have passed before us. Cemetery and columbarium schedule is:
- Saturday, July 27 – Mountain View 9:00am; Strathmore 10:30am; Nokotsudo/Columbarium 12:15pm
- Sunday, July 28 – Eden Brook 11:00am; Queens Park 1:00pm

Bon Odori (盆踊り), meaning simply “Bon dance”, is performed during Obon and everyone is invited to participate. We’ll be dancing after the service and meal on Sunday. Look forward to it!

Singles, couples, and families (all ages) are welcome to attend the Calgary Buddhist Temple’s Annual Family Picnic on Sunday, June 16, 2024 @ Edworthy Park, Picnic Site #2 (access is from the south parking lot).
The fun will start around 10:30am and go until approximately 2:45pm. Bring your own picnic lunch, get involved in some games of skill, and make sure you stay for the BINGO! Fun for everyone!
It is often very very busy around Edworthy Park on that weekend so come early to get parking!

We are looking for volunteers for our first fundraising event of the year.

Please keep in mind that this is a working event and not a cooking class.
- ‘Ginsu’ knife skills and having the patience to fine-chop vegetables are helpful, and
- Having origami folding skills is an asset so that you can beautifully fold and pleat.
