In-Person Sunday Services Suspended

After careful consideration, the Calgary Buddhist Temple has decided to discontinue in-person attendance at Sunday morning services due to climbing COVID-19 infection rates. Although our temple attendance procedures since re-opening in July has been rigorous and well within the health measures announced by the Alberta government on Nov 24, we feel that this must be done to reduce risk to all members of our Sangha.

The Temple will re-assess this decision in January, and will resume in-person attendance as soon as this situation is less critical.

Services will continue to be live streamed via the Temple Facebook group, and although we recognize that watching from your home cannot replace attending the service in person, we all must do what we can to slow the spread and help our healthcare workers.

In Gassho,

Jean
