The Calgary Buddhist Temple is pleased to be partnering with Calgary’s own Thich Nhat Hanh Sangha, ‘Wild Rose Sangha’, to present a showing of the film ‘Walk with Me’: http://walkwithmefilm.com/
Thich Nhat Hanh is a world-renowned teacher of Mindfulness from Vietnam.
Exiled for his peace efforts from his home country, he has lived in France for many years. Those peace efforts earned him a Noble Peace Prize nomination from Martin Luther King Jr before his own untimely death.
This is a major theatrical release film and we are the only licensed presenters in the Calgary area.
It speaks about Mindfulness and the Teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, who is now 92 years old and suffers the effects of a stroke several years ago. Narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.
For our showing, a Teacher Chan Huy from the TNH Tradition in Montreal will lead a teaching beginning at 6:30pm, then the showing of the film.
Cost is free, but if you are able to spare some dana to offset the license fee of $500USD, this would be very helpful ($5 each? thank you!)
Please bring your friends, this is a public Film presentation.
